Joon Oh Kim to pianista mieszkający w Montrealu, zdobywca wielu nagród w konkursach, między innymi III nagrody w prestiżowym Prix d’Europe oraz I nagrody w Concours de musique québécoise. Jest stypendystą Gilles-Chatel Fondation du Conservatoire oraz nagrody AIDA Fund Fondation JM Canada. Koncertował w rodzinnej Kanadzie, a także w Stanach Zjednoczonych, Meksyku i Europie. Joon Oh brał udział w wielu międzynarodowych festiwalach muzycznych, m.in.: Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival, Pianale International Piano Academy and Competition oraz Orford Music Academy. Joon Oh Kim is a sought-after pianist based in Montreal, awarded numerous prizes in competitions such as the third prize at the prestigious Prix d’Europe and the first prize at the Concours de musique québécoise. He is the recipient of the Gilles-Chatel scholarship from the Fondation du Conservatoire and the AIDA Fund award from the Fondation JM Canada. He has performed in his native Canada as well as in the United States, Mexico, and in Europe. Joon Oh has participated in numerous international Music Festivals, such as the Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival, the Pianale International Piano Academy and Competition, and the Orford Music Academy. He has received musical advice from numerous renowned artists in both solo (Jerome Lowenthal, Noriko Ogawa, Matti Raekallio, Graham Scott, HieYon Choi) and chamber music settings (Gryphon Trio, Marc Desmons, John Stulz, Denis Brott). He is currently studying for his master’s degree at the Montreal Conservatory of Music with André Laplante.
