POPP Simon (Switzerland)

Simon Popp urodził się 1999 r. w Baden w Szwajcarii. Od 2018 r. studiuje w Bern University of the Artsw klasie fortepianu Tomasza Herbuta. W 2021 r. uzyskał tytuł licencjata „Summa cum laude”. Obecnie studiuje w programie Master of Performance także u Tomasza Herbuta. Simon Popp miał okazję współpracować z pedagogami i pianistami o międzynarodowej renomie, takimi jak: Klaus Hellwig, Silke Avenhaus, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Hatto Beyerle i Piotr Anderszewski. Simon Popp otrzymywał nagrody za swoje interpretacje m.in. w Fondation SUISA oraz Orpheus Competition. W 2021 r. zadebiutował w radiu SRF 2 Kultur utworami Ludwiga v. Beethovena i F. Chopina. Koncertował na takich wydarzeniach, jak: Festiwal Pabla Casalsa, Les Jardins Musicaux, The Swiss Chamber Music Festival, The Mendelssohntage Aarau i Meisterzyklus Bern. Od 2020 roku jest członkiem Sonoris Trio (skrzypce, wiolonczela, fortepian), które jest regularnie zapraszane na kursy mistrzowskie ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy).

 

Simon Popp was born in Baden (Switzerland) in 1999. Since 2018, he has been studying at the Bern University of the Arts in the piano class of Tomasz Herbut, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree “Summa cum laude” in 2021. He is currently studying in the Master of Performance program also with Tomasz Herbut. Simon Popp had the opportunity to work with internationally renowned pedagogues and pianists such as Klaus Hellwig, Silke Avenhaus, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Hatto Beyerle and Piotr Anderszewski. Simon Popp has received awards for his interpretations from the Fondation SUISA and at the Orpheus Competition, among others, and made his radio debut on SRF 2 Kultur in 2021 with works by L. v. Beethoven and F. Chopin. Concert activities have taken him to renowned festivals and concert series such as the Pablo Casals Festival, Les Jardins Musicaux, the Swiss Chamber Music Festival, the Mendelssohntage Aarau and Meisterzyklus Bern. In addition, he maintains an intense activity as a chamber music partner and since 2020 he is a member of the Sonoris Trio (violin, cello, piano), which is regularly invited to master classes of the ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy).
